EPFO and ESIC Monthly Challan/Return

EPFO Monthly Challan/Return:
Employers are required to submit a monthly provident fund (PF) challan to the EPFO, detailing the contributions made by both the employer and the employee towards the EPF scheme. This includes contributions towards the Employee Provident Fund (EPF), Employee Pension Scheme (EPS), and Employee Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme (EDLI). Along with the challan, employers also need to file a monthly return providing details of the employees, their salaries, and the contributions made on their behalf.
ESIC Monthly Challan/Return:
Similarly, employers must submit a monthly contribution challan to the ESIC, reflecting the contributions made towards the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) scheme. This includes both the employer’s and employee’s contributions towards health insurance and other benefits provided under the ESIC scheme. Employers are also required to file a monthly return along with the challan, providing details of the employees covered under the ESIC scheme, their wages, and the contributions made.
